In the early Monday morning hours of April 6^th, 2009, a devastating earthquake hit the Central Italian region of Abruzzo. The epicenter, Aquila was also home to a wealth of artistic treasures. Even today, well after a decade of reconstruction the city is still recovering what was lost.
